The Mekong Crash

I used to be terrified of water, only feeling safe in pools where my feet could touch the ground.
In 2025,when I traveled in south east Asia by slow boat on the Mekong River, the boat hit a reef and the deck began to sink. Panic was everywhere but in that chaos, my body remembered the Red Sea.
"Relax. Just float."
Surviving that moment changed my perspective on everything. I lost my luggage to the river, but my fins surfaced on their own and stayed afloat.

18 Meters Below: Facing the Fear

In an earlier journey to Dahab, Egypt, I first tried free diving. Amid the waves of the Red Sea, struggling with every breath and the sting of pressure, I learned the most vital lesson of my life: Relax.
In the dim light at 18 meters, the world goes silent. This journey wasn't just about diving; it was about finding a center in the weightlessness and silence.

The Anchor

This post-sinking postcard from a friend became my anchor.
It carries a message I now share with you:

"If you ever doubt yourself, you just need to look back at this moment."
It reminds me that even when the world feels like a sinking ship, we should remain calm and remember we have the inner strength to stay afloat.
